I am Professor Dr. Murad Hossain, an academician and biomedical researcher with a specialization in the molecular mechanisms underlying liver dysfunction, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders, with particular emphasis on the development of targeted therapeutic interventions. I earned my Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Dhaka, followed by an M.Pharm and Ph.D. from Niigata University of Pharmacy and Applied Life Sciences, Japan. My postdoctoral research at NUPALS, the University of North Dakota (UND), and the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), USA, focused on drug-receptor interactions and the functional dynamics of the dopamine transporter in Caenorhabditis elegans. Currently, I serve as a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North South University, where I lead multiple research initiatives focused on the identification and characterization of novel therapeutic candidates. I remain actively engaged in interdisciplinary and collaborative research to address critical biomedical challenges through translational science.
